The 2026 World Cup is only a few weeks away, and the odds are now available for all 48 teams to win the world’s biggest sporting event.

The United States is the +130 favorite in Group D, where they will face Türkiye (+175 to win the group), Paraguay (+350) and Australia (+900).

The World Cup will be the most-bet event in the world this summer, so which teams are favored to win it all and where does the U.S. stand?

At BetMGM, France is the favorite at +450, followed by Spain (+500), England (+650), Brazil (+800) and 2022 World Cup winner Argentina (+800). It's unknown whether Argentina superstar Lionel Messi will be playing for the Argentinian team next year when the tournament begins.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal (10-1) have the next-best odds, followed by Germany (14-1) and the Netherlands (20-1). Every other team has at least 25-1 odds, including the United States at 40-1. The U.S. had 66-1 odds to win the 2026 World Cup before the draw at BetMGM, but those odds were shortened after the favorable group draw.

One notable bet made before the December 2025 World Cup Draw was a $5,000 wager on the United States to win it all at 75-1 odds at Hard Rock Bet. The wager would pay $375,000 if the U.S. can win its first World Cup ever.

The United States will open 2026 World Cup play on June 12, 2026, against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
