The French Open has only just begun, but it’s also time to plan ahead, as tickets to the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in August are going on sale this week, too. The U.S. Open is the last Grand Slam major of the season, and matches begin on August 30 this year at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. The women’s final is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, and the men’s final is Sunday, Sept. 13. (Here’s hoping 2025 men’s champion Carlos Alcaraz will be back to defend his title after a lengthy absence from this year’s tour due to a wrist injury.)

If you want to get tickets to this year’s tennis tournament, an Amex presale is happening today (May 27) until 11:59 p.m. ET, and general on-sale tickets will be available May 28 starting at 12 p.m. ET. Here's everything you need to know about the 2026 U.S. Open, including the tournament schedule and how to get tickets.

When is the 2026 U.S. Open?

The 2026 U.S. Open tennis tournament begins with qualifying matches that run from August 23-29 (known as Fan Week). The official tournament runs from August 30 to September 13.

When do tickets for the U.S. Open go on sale?

An Amex presale is happening on May 26 and 27 (until 11:59 p.m.), so if you’re an American Express cardholder, you can sign in at Ticketmaster to search for tickets there. General on-sale ticketing begins on Thursday, May 28, at 12 p.m. ET.
