The demand for NBA Finals tickets at Madison Square Garden is continuing to grow after the New York Knicks moved to within four wins of the franchise’s first NBA championship since 1973. There is still a week before Game 1 and as the team awaits its opponent from the Western Conference, fans will have plenty of time to find ways to get in the building.

Since the Knicks closed out their sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, fans have splurged on tickets for Games 3, 4 and 6 of the NBA Finals, which will all be at MSG.

For Game 3, the highest price paid for one ticket, via Gametime, was $12,022; for Game 4 someone shelled out $8,931 and the potential clinching Game 6 saw a ticket sold for $13,956.

On Tuesday, at least 10 people paid more than $8,500 per ticket for one of the three games in New York.

The Knicks’ presence in the NBA Finals has also affected the ticket market in Oklahoma City and San Antonio.

The Western Conference finals winner will have home-court advantage in the NBA Finals and host Games 1, 2, 5 and 7. The price of tickets increased in both markets after the Knicks secured their place.

According to Gametime, get-in prices for tickets for potential Games 1 and 2 in Oklahoma City jumped 86% from $1,300 to $2,400 with the median price increasing 32% from $4,950 to $6,500.

The same happened for potential games hosted by Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs. Get-in prices for Games 1 and 2 in San Antonio rose 34% from $1,470 to $1,970 with median prices going from $5,040 to $6,800.

The Thunder lead the series 3-2 after winning 127-114 in Game 5 on Tuesday night.
