2026 Topps Series 2 Baseball: 5 rookies to collect in the new flagship set
The next installment of 2026 Topps Baseball is here. The base set starts with card No. 351 as the flagship product continues with Series 2.
In the 350-card checklist, there are a number of rookies that collectors will be chasing, including the exciting Chicago White Sox slugger Munetaka Murakami. It’s not only base cards collectors are chasing, but low-numbered variations, inserts and autographed cards.
Not sure who to collect? Here are five rookie cards to keep an eye on.
Munetaka Murakami: Even though the White Sox rookie is on the IL, he still has 20 home runs, which still ranks him third in the league. He is expected to be out for another month with a hamstring injury, but he already has a strong season for a rookie. But he’s likely to crush more once he’s back on the field.
Sal Stewart: Stewart has been an exciting player for the Cincinnati Reds. The 22-year-old leads all rookies with 50 RBI, with an added 18 home runs and 10 stolen bases. His early rookie cards are popular on the secondary market and his Series 2 rookies will likely get the same treatment.
Trey Yesavage: The Toronto Blue Jays righty made a name for himself during the 2025 postseason, when he struck out 11 Yankees in 5.1 innings during the ALDS. He has been good for the Blue Jays this season, striking out 44 in 42.2 innings with 1.172 WHIP.
Connelly Early: Early has grabbed early attention. He’s a solid pitcher for Boston with a 3.30 ERA and a 1.225 ERA. The Boston Red Sox pitcher’s cards have gained value in the first part of the season. With Series 2, more of his cards will hit the market, giving collectors a chance to pad their collection.
Kazuma Okamoto: Munetaka isn’t the only Japanese-born player who is raking. Okamoto, 29, is in his first year in MLB. While he’s only batting .232, he is a threat at the plate. Okamoto leads the Blue Jays with 13 home runs and 37 RBIs. Okamoto has few RCs on the market and does have cards from Topps’ NPB releases.
There are other rookies to watch. Players like Carter Jensen, Chase DeLauter and Harry Ford will also have popular cards out of 2026 Topps Baseball Series 2.
