Pete Crow-Armstrong became the 13th Chicago Cub to hit for the cycle, completing the feat with a seventh-inning single in a tight game against the Colorado Rockies on Monday night.

Armstrong's hit drew a raucous response from fans at Wrigley Field. The moment, however, got doused with groans after the Rockies picked off Armstrong on first base.

Chicago led 2-1 after Armstrong’s hit. The Cubs surrendered that lead the following inning as the Rockies scored three runs in the eighth to go ahead 4-2.

Crow-Armstrong got another RBI, courtesy of a sac fly in the bottom of the inning, to narrow Colorado’s lead to a run.

The Cubs outfielder got his four-hit night started with a solo homer in the first inning, followed by a triple in the third inning and a double in the fifth.

It was the fifth reverse cycle since the expansion era, MLB.com's Sarah Langs reported.
