Norway is set to take on Senegal in their second 2026 FIFA World Cup match of the tournament on Monday night at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Several hours before the whistle blew on the pitch, Norwegian fans flocked to Times Square in the heart of New York City to give their squad a proper sendoff.

Hundreds of Norway fans performed the "Viking Row" to offer proper support of their nation’s best soccer players. Max Bretos, the voice of Major League Soccer’s LA FC, posted a video on his X account showing the flock of fans at Times Square.

"Imagine you are heading to Times Square NYC to see ‘Les Miserables’ and you stumble into this …" he wrote on X.

Norway enters the Group I match in first place after a resounding win over Iraq. The team has yet to play France in the group stage, which will come in its finale.

FOX ONE’S NEW WORLD CUP VIEWING EXPERIENCE

Senegal will really have to dig deep in order to come away with a point. Containing soccer star Erling Haaland is a mission in and of itself.

"Yes, Haaland, but it's not Haaland alone," Senegal reserve goalkeeper Mory Diaw said through an interpreter. "Haaland by himself, he can’t do anything. He needs his teammates, so it’s not how do we stop Haaland. It’s up to us to be prepared for the game against Norway."

Senegal head coach Pepe Thiaw said that being able to keep Norway at bay starts with neutralizing Haaland.

"Haaland obviously doesn’t need any introducing," Thiaw said. "We’ve got good defenders. We’ve got very high-level defenders who have played in very high-level competitions and have come across strikers of this caliber."

The match will begin at 8 p.m. ET.
