Of the significant men in history associated with July 4 in the United States, Joey Chestnut is almost certainly the most surprising. No, he didn't found the country, but his unfathomable feasting feats have turned him into an American icon.

As expected, Chestnut will once again take the stage for the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest with dominance on his mind. After returning to the event in 2025 after a one-year ban due to a sponsorship issue, Chestnut is looking to start a new consecutive-win streak at the competition.
