Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander left Monday's Summer League game against the Chicago Bulls on a stretcher after appearing to sustain an injury on the left side of his torso.

The nature of Alexander's injury was initially unclear. Utah didn't provide a postgame medical update of the injury that took place in the final three minutes of the game. Alexander displayed movement through the incident and after being placed on the stretcher.

The injury took place with 2:23 remaining in Utah's 80-63 win. He drew contact to his left hip and a foul from Bulls forward Caleb Wilson on a drive to the basket. He immediately grabbed his left side after the contact and briefly remained upright under the basket.

He quickly stumbled to the floor behind the basket, where he writhed in obvious pain. After he received initial attention from medical trainers, a stretcher was brought out.

Trey Alexander is evacuated on a stretcher in the 4th quarter, after initiating contact with Caleb Wilson, gets the foul called, holds his left side, and rolls in pain outside the court (with replays).

Alexander was placed on the stretcher after several minutes and eventually rolled off the court. He maintained movement through the process.

Per ESPN, Utah's Summer League coach Steve Wojciechowski told reporters he didn't have a medical update or know what happened to Alexander. There was no further news on Alexander's condition at the time of this post.

Alexander, 23, has played parts of the last two seasons with the Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans, totaling 33 NBA games. He played three seasons for Creighton from 2021-23 and earned All Big-East honors as a junior.

Alexander signed a two-way contract with the Jazz last week.
