Jacob Misiorowski is on the bump for the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday and is pitching against the St. Louis Cardinals.

It didn’t take long for the starting pitcher to continue to set new records on the mound. In the first inning, Misiorowski struck out catcher Ivan Herrera on a 103 mph fastball.

The pitch was officially clocked at 103.4 mph, which is a new record for the fastest strikeout pitch by a starting pitcher since pitch tracking began in 2008.

He just broke his own record again!!

Fastest strikeout pitches by starters under pitch tracking (2008, incl playoffs):

5/25/26 Jacob Misiorowski: 103.4 mph
5/8/26 Jacob Misiorowski: 103.3 mph
5/13/26 Jacob Misiorowski: 103.2 mph

Despite only being in the league for less than a calendar year, Misiorowski now has the six fastest strikeout pitches by a starting pitcher since 2008. Two of them, 103.4 mph and 102.9 mph, have come during Monday’s game against the Cardinals.

In a recent episode of Bleacher Report’s “On Base” podcast with Mookie Betts, the Milwaukee starter said that he believes that he can throw 105 mph.

This is baseball’s current pitch speed barrier. The fastest recorded pitch in the history of the game was thrown by closer Aroldis Chapman on September 24, 2010 and was registered at 105.8 mph.

Chapman currently has 10 of the fastest 12 pitches thrown in a major league game. All 12 pitches were thrown by relief pitchers.

Misiorowski already has the record for the fastest pitch ever thrown by a starting pitcher. He threw a pitch that registered 103.6 mph on May 8 and is inching closer to topping 104. The starter is already known for his high-octane fastball, and it is scary to think he believes he can get even faster.
