Comments Off on MLB All-Star rosters announced, with Dodgers, Braves and Phillies tied for most players named

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game rosters officially arrived Saturday, with some players earning their 10th honor or more, plus plenty of first-timers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies all tied for the most players selected with five each, with the Dodgers getting the most starters, with four. The New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays all tied for the most in the American League with four.

Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani and Blue Jays second baseman Ernie Clement were previously announced as starters after they were the leading vote-getters in Phase 1 of voting, the results of which were announced June 25. Ohtani led all players with 3,341,257, and Clement was a surprise AL leader with 3,232,932.

The other starters are based on Phase 2 of voting, which took place from June 30 through July 2 and determined the rest of the starting position players after the finalists at each spot were previously announced. Finalists were determined via Phase 1 voting. Votes from Phase 1 did not carry over into Phase 2.

There were, of course, some incongruous names selected. Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. rode a wave of big-time support from Blue Jays fans to starter status despite going through, to date, the worst season of his career at the plate. New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge also got a starting spot despite having not played since May 31.

The reserves and pitchers were determined via a player ballot plus selections made by the MLB commissioner's office. One wrinkle was the addition of Bryce Harper as a "Legend" pick.

Here's every name announced Saturday.

The game's starting pitchers will be decided by each team's manager, Dave Roberts of the Dodgers and John Schneider of the Blue Jays. In an interview on Fox, Roberts indicated he might let the Philadelphia setting influence his choice, which will likely come down to Misiorowski, the Cy Young favorite, or Sanchez, the local favorite.

The All-Star Game will take place at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, July 14 (8 p.m. ET on Fox). The Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 13 (8 p.m. ET on Netflix).
