Terrion Arnold still drawing interest from NFL teams after arrest for alleged kidnapping, armed robbery

Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold will not have to wear a GPS tracker while he awaits his trial, a judge ruled Friday. The decision makes it possible for Arnold to continue to try out for other NFL teams after he was cut by the Lions shortly after his arrest.

Arnold, 23, is out on $1 million bond after he was arrested and charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. While prosecutors argued in favor of keeping Arnold in jail ahead of his trial, a judge ruled the cornerback could be released on bond.

That same judge, however, determined prosecutors established enough probable cause in their arguments that Arnold will face a trial for his alleged actions. Shortly after that development, the Lions cut Arnold.

Despite the charges, and Arnold's future — both in and out of the NFL — being uncertain, the former first-round pick has reportedly drawn interest from four teams, his agent, Nicole Lynn, testified Friday, per the Detroit News.

Those four teams are the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, Lynn said.

Arnold reportedly already worked out for the Texans and has two other visits scheduled in the coming weeks. Lynn argued that it would be "impossible for him to get a job (with an ankle monitor)," potentially leading to the judge's decision Friday.

Prosecutors have argued Arnold orchestrated the alleged kidnapping and beating of two men who he believed stole from him. While Arnold was not in the room when the alleged beatings took place, prosecutors argued he allegedly planned it, sat outside in a car while it happened and watched it on a FaceTime call.

Arnold — who the Lions selected with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft — has gotten off to a middling start in his NFL career. He started 15 games as a rookie, registering 60 combined tackles.

During his second season, Arnold played in just eight games due to a shoulder injury. He graded out poorly in Pro Football Focus' metrics, ranking 97th among cornerbacks.
