The Open Championship third round Saturday tee times: What time do Lucas Herbert, Bryson DeChambeau tee off at Royal Birkdale?

Comments Off on The Open Championship third round Saturday tee times: What time do Lucas Herbert, Bryson DeChambeau tee off at Royal Birkdale?

Lucas Herbert is the leader at the midway point of the British Open, but Bryson DeChambeau is the story after his chaotic meeting with officials on Friday night.

DeChambeau, who climbed all the way into solo second, was hit with a late two-shot penalty on Friday night after his second round for improving his lie on the fifth hole. That was determined after a long and heated meeting with officials out at the scene of the infraction, and ended up dropping DeChambeau out of second and into a tie for fifth.

He was livid, but then went straight to the range and started hitting balls.

Herbert, meanwhile, jumped into the lead after he posted a 62 to match the lowest round in major championship history in the early wave, which got him to 8-under on the week. He'll go off with Jackson Suber in the final group. DeChambeau, now three back, is scheduled to tee off with Sam Burns at 10:30 a.m. ET — though he reportedly hasn't yet committed to actually playing in the third round. So, we'll see how that goes.

Here's a look at tee times for what should be a very entertaining Moving Day at Royal Birkdale.
