Yahoo Sports introduces a new era with College Fantasy Football: Sign up and get ready to play!

College football is more than just a version of the pro game. It has its own distinct style and culture — and its own massive following on Saturdays. Now, it's getting its own distinct Yahoo Fantasy sports experience.
Yahoo Sports is offering a new season-long college fantasy football game, featuring a completely reimagined format designed to mirror the excitement of the modern era. The game features players from college football's biggest programs, expanded rosters to support the sport's wealth of talent and a brand new team "Offense" roster position to reward today's high-scoring offenses. It is the latest addition to a growing fantasy game lineup from Yahoo Sports, which was named "Best Product Experience" by the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association (FSGA) earlier this year.

Like traditional fantasy football, Yahoo College Fantasy Football is a season-long game with head-to-head weekly matchups. Drafts, trades and waiver pickups work the same way, and the scoring system is similar.
However, the game features several new elements built for today's college game:
Players from powerhouse programs: Reflecting the modern conference landscape, fans can draft players from any of the Power 4 conferences (Big 10, SEC, Big 12, ACC) plus Notre Dame. With a condensed player pool, fans can expect a more balanced, competitive experience.
Team Offense: For the first time in Yahoo Fantasy history, fans can start an "Offense" position with team-level aggregate scoring. Fans can draft a college team's offense as a whole and earn points for that team's touchdowns, total yards, field goals made and wins, and lose points for turnovers and losses. The new position rewards the dynamic and creative offenses of today's college football — read more on how it’ll work.
Expanded rosters: The game features a larger fantasy roster (18 players) than traditional fantasy football (15 players). As the transfer portal creates new opportunities for playing time and stardom, NIL keeps talented upperclassmen in school, and freshmen are increasingly game-ready, the modern game has more stars than ever. Now fans can add even more of them to their fantasy teams.

"College football fans live for Saturdays, and Yahoo College Fantasy Football is about to add to the excitement," said Jarrod Schwarz, General Manager, Yahoo Sports. "We built this game to capture everything that makes the sport so special, giving fans a whole new reason to cheer for every touchdown, celebrate every big play, and get even more invested in the teams and players they already love."
This initiative is being supported by Publicis Sports, the dedicated sports practice within Publicis Media Exchange (PMX). Publicis Sports clients will have exclusive access to new advertising and sponsorship opportunities within the Yahoo College Fantasy Football game. Coca-Cola is the first brand to be integrated throughout the college fantasy product experience.
"We are excited to partner with Yahoo Sports on this initiative and bring new, premium brand experiences to our clients," said Jon Tuck, President, Publicis Sports. "College football has an enormous and passionate fan base that is engaged year-round and many of our clients are activating across the entire ecosystem – whether it's talent/NIL, content, media, partnerships with teams or conferences. This is another way we can give them an always-on connection to continually grow fan engagement and maximize their sports investments across college football properties."

Froton has been delivering college fantasy football advice since 2018, including most recently at NBC Sports, and has been playing the format for 25 years. For Yahoo, he'll provide dedicated college fantasy football rankings and analysis, as well as appear on a range of Yahoo Sports shows.
